Hello everyone out there.
I'm Nick, the de facto flag-bearer of the RAGE Wiki since early 2013. I think.
The RAGE Wiki has seen better days. Its highest point was in mid-to-late 2011 when RAGE was released for Xbox 360, PS3, and the PC. Since that time, the Wiki's community has steadily declined. It picked back up slightly when RAGE: The Scorchers came out in December of 2012, but other than that, our humble community dedicated to Id Software's most underrated title has steadied to nearly nothing. Keep in mind, The Scorchers came out three years ago. Three years the RAGE property has gone without ANY news or update. And that's sad.
Our game was met with a lot of unnecessary criticism from the start, about the ending, then about the lack of support from Id, then finally ZeniMax Media, public enemy number one on this site, cancelled any hope of a sequel to RAGE.
Here this site sits, a shell of its former self. This website has the vastest knowledge BY FAR for anything RAGE and I'm proud to have contributed to that. I'm so happy I could be a part of the creation of this site. Nearly anything about The Scorchers is thanks to me, even if it is incomplete. So, I'm not leaving, but I am making a statement: the active contributing by myself or more than likely ANY figure of authority ends right now for an undisclosed period of time. When a sequel to RAGE, an expansion pack, or anything noteworthy happens, I'll be back. And don't worry, if anything happens, message me and I'll still reply. I use Wikia for various reasons and will be notified should you summon me. But, I believe it is safe to say that the RAGE Wiki, for now at least, is retired.
Thanks for some great years, site. I appreciate it.
Until next time. --Nick...The Lone Editor 23:47, December 26, 2015 (UTC)
