This is the very first monthly update of any news on RAGE, possible updates, and Wiki news. Tell me what you guys think and make suggestions on topics I should add! :)

Since the How We Can Improve the RAGE Wiki Issue 12 covered a majority of the news needed for January, February, March, and early April, this update will be relatively short compared to future blogs.

In the short weeks from the time the Issue 12 was written, the Wiki has seen one of the slowest time periods I have seen it suffer, to the point where edits are made few and far between. I am hoping that summer will create some sort of fan base for RAGE much like the original release, give or take some editors. No actually news from id on the future of RAGE, sadly. Also, How We Can Improve the RAGE Wiki Issue 16 will be the last planned issue, and no more challenges will be given. If I get feedback asking for it, I may reconsider.

News time! This week's blog is going to be a summary of the past three months, plus the usual topic.

Well, I noticed that in January, many editors stopped editing. The people that are in the history of pages and those on our leaderboards left anywhere between November to January. Since then, we have suffered. The only editor that was editing at that time that stayed is, well you all know him as, Kryon78. Since January the only editor that has truly came and stayed is yours truly. :)

In February we began many projects and many smaller editors like Lexmechanic and Roman Prokoshin began joining the Wiki, but did not stay through March. I sincerely wish they would come back, but time goes on and the RAGE Wiki survives.

In March we really paid attention to the smaller aspects of RAGE. That was the time Vlad and I worked to add the Quest navbox to all quests, which we finished. This is also the time I began working on the Road Rage pages if I remember correctly.

RAGE is now available on Mac. Aspyr Media, Inc. released the well-named Campaign Edition of the game. While being stripped of the both multiplayer features, it includes all the Anarchy Edition bonuses.

Patch 1.2 was released for the PC version of the game. It addresses various issues and, like the first patch, adds some advanced graphics options. A powerful gaming computer is needed to fully enjoy all the benefits.

The updated game runs smooth with both the latest stable and beta nVidia drivers available (you can get it here), and AMD/ATI has released new stable version recently (get it here).

Bethesda earlier this this week on the 26th of October, posted a message containing links for updates on GeForce drivers. PC users experiencing issues may try to download corresponding patches to try fix the problem. --Zluhcs  talk page  my edits  Rage Wiki-chat 19:20, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Our internal tests have found that the Windows/Vista updates are looking good and should resolve issues being reported by the community. If you're running Windows XP, feel free to give the drivers a shot, but note that we’ve seen issues relating to screen-tearing full screen mode. If your performance suffers, revert back to the 285.38 drivers.

Bethesda has put up a list of things which could help those running into screen tearing and texture issues when playing RAGE on PC.

According to the post on the Bethblog, a lot of times these problems can be remedied by fixing driver issues, and id Software is working with AMD and Nvidia to resolve problems as quickly as possible.

Users with the aforementioned cards should do the following:

• AMD users need to update to the most recent RAGE Catalyst driver. Grab it here.
• Nvidia users should try updating RAGE to the current beta driver. When this driver is updated, a notice will appear on the Bethblog.
• Check the forums for solutions that can improve reported issues with screen tearing, blurry textures, and texture pop up.

id is currently working on an update which will allow users to more easily make configuration changes. Details on this will be announced “shortly”.

Yesterday, infamous hacker group called LulzSec announced that it would attempt to hack into Bethesda Softworks servers.

Matt Grandstaff of Bethesda has stated on Bethesda Blog that the attack was indeed successful and that the user account information was compromised.

Over the past weekend, a hacker group attempted an unlawful intrusion of our websites to gain access to data. We believe we have taken appropriate action to protect our data against these attacks. While no personal financial information or credit card data was obtained, the hackers may have gained access to some user names, email addresses, and/or passwords. In time for the upcoming E3 Expo, Bethesda has released a brand new trailer for id Software's shooter Rage.

The trailer takes us to a place called The Well - the town of Wellspring, which is being threatened by a clan of raiders. The bandits want to poison the town's source of water, and naturally they enlist the help of our protagonist.

The post-apocalyptic is coming to stores in September. Hopefully no other end of the world will be scheduled to happen between now and then.

Bethesda has released a new trailer showcasing its arsenal of weapons.

Today a new section went live at the official site named The Game. It is an interactive panoramic that features screenshots, in-game models, sounds and gameplay videos.

You now can also stream or download a free MP3 version of “Burning Jacob’s Ladder” by Mark Lanegan (Streaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age). It's the song that was written for and featured in the "Untethered" trailer.

Bethesda had already announced that RAGE would release this September, but at the end of the new gameplay trailer, which features a new look at the id Tech 5 engine, a release date of September 13 is shown.

The release dates have been announced for RAGE. It will be coming out on September 13, 2011 in the United States and September 15, 2011 in Europe.

At today's QuakeCon keynote address, John Carmack announced that Rage will be coming out on the Iphone. It was demoed at a full 60 FPS. It is expected that two titles will be coming out - a cheaper version to show off the technology and a larger more expansive one later on.
